Bow Nerf
bows feels weak and slow now even at higer skills, again you made the game less fun and cool and more tedius.. the arrows even hit left of the crosshair for extre sillyness. this games was awesome before the HH pach, now its a tedius stamina struggle

Bow still feels great, but Spears are still far more accurate than Bow, and does more damage earlier on. Flint Spears are totally badass for taking out Deer and Boar.
Also I noticed that the Bronze Spear takes the same Stamina drain as a Flint Spear, so if you fully upgrade a Bronze Spear you get optimal damage to stamina ratio's.

I can kill everything in this game using just wooden arrow. Bow is still ridiculously strong.
They could create nerfs with new mechanics, like wooden arrows don't deal damage to stone golems, and things that force people to use various types of arrows.
I don't even need to think or worry about fighting, even solo, using bow, and wooden arrow, killing any poor creature easily.

Bows feel stronger now than they did before.
Sneak attacking a troll with my level 3 finewood bow and flint arrows takes away about 20% of its HP, and killing trolls is a cakewalk even if I have two after me.
Practice aiming with necks or something until you master it, not that I feel it's even changed.
Manage your stamina properly when in combat (= fight smart), always have three foods active, and make sure to fully draw the bow when shooting.
I don't have anything better than cooked deer meat yet, but I've had no issues with ranged combat. Haven't even upgraded from raspberries to honey because there's been no need to do so.

Still only using a level 2 fang in plains.. It works exceptionally well, and I'm only at 30 bow skill.
So I don't know what you're talking about. Do you want to one-shot everything?
Just turn on cheats.
Also stamina is just fine, why would you need more than 120~150? (that's from 1 good stamina food with two health foods btw)

The arrows always shot left of the crosshair except at the convergence point because of the parallax of the third person camera
That's what you want us to think.... ;-)

The bows at the beginning are meant to be crude and inaccurate. You have to adjust. There has been no change in accuracy or rate of fire or bow stamina that I can detect.
People are starting to imagine things about H&H that just aren't true. And, present OP excepted, it wouldn't surprise me to learn that a bit of anti Valheim troll-farming is going on.

Bow is for stealth kills and against airborne enemies. Melee is meant to better in regular combat.

I still use spears primarily. They are still very fun, and you'd be surprised at how easy it is to hit a drake with them.

Bows are deadly and coupled with the new food mechanic means you can run longer distances and still shoot arrows, Bows have not been nerfed they have been buffed.

Try parrying with shields. That's incredibly fun while saving lot of stamina comparing to bows.

Now that you know those details maybe you can incorporate them into your game play.

Few things first, I downloaded better bows. Also have fully upgraded good bow (the poison one) and needle arrows.
I can usually one shot plink some of the goblin guys (shamans, unsheilded, and some of the lower level guys). The others are 3 shot. Surprise and two after (at most). Tankier creatures are much harder, but can be done safely from a rock or something if I'm feeling lazy.
Before and after HH doesn't seem to be much of a difference on bow damage. Long shot is a little off, but it didn't take long to compensate (I'm good at long range trajectory shots though.)
