Being hunted
absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I cant fight 8 wolves at once. Im doing a bow build, I cannot kill that many that fast. They just insta stagger you and kill you. Can they make this raid more fair. Its unwinnable alone unless you have endgame gear.

I believe you will be at a great disadvantage in the Mistlands with just your bow leveled.
I ran two dungeons tonight (first full solo dungeons after the update) and I noticed that seekers still have a tendency to get stuck in certain rooms. The dungeon entrance or immediately after it is probably the worst place for using bow or being underequipped, but even there you can sometimes get free shots if the seekers just don't understand how to step on that little elevated entrance. So it's probably fine to be largely bow-trained, at least so far as you are not bow-only equipped. That's the real killer the way I see it.

Having an item equipped and leveling the skill up are two issues. A level 10 skill is pretty worthless above the BF. My bow is almost 90 and it is a joy, club skill is up there too and my stam usage is pretty low. Shield is around 40 and that makes a huge difference. It's boring and annoying but much of the complaining of stam issues is somewhat offset by raising skills, from running, jumping, weapons.

It's only 6. It's perfectly winnable in Iron tier gear though. Bonemass power my friend. Bonemass power.

I didnt have bonemass on me, I was running around getting birch wood. Regardless you just dont have time to prepare at all. If there was a warning like "You hear howling close by" before the raid Id be able to prepare like grab bonemass

My favorite way of dealing with them in plains is to lure them at fuling towers, or even villages. A tar pit will work in a pinch as well.

I died to that the first time it triggered as well. I was already in the middle of fighting several plains enemies and the addition of the wolves was just too much too unexpectedly for me.
The next two times it triggered I was more prepared; I made a hasty tactical retreat to better ground. One time, the 'better ground' was a nearby giant rock that I climbed up on. The wolves had some difficulty getting up onto it, so I could just kill one or two at a time at my leisure.
The other time the better ground was to run past and around a tar pit that I hadn't cleared yet, the way I circled it caused the wolves to path through it, and I was easily able to take them out one at a time as they emerged with the tarred effect.

Run. You can jump, they cannot. Find something that gives you the high ground that jumping is required to reach. Is there a village of draugr or fulings nearby? Run through it and give them a friendly introduction. RUN!

You can have a "bow build" and also use shields and maces when appropriate. Like fighting wolf packs.

Fighting them in the plains sound fun but sadly I was in a flat meadows with zero high ground. If I had a nice rock I couldve won but nothing.
They were blocking my way back :/ I was in a flat meadows with a mountain close by which has a small house made but they were gatekeeping my vantage point. They had the high ground and I did not Run. Currently I have a bronze spear, The draugr bow and the root armor for more bow power. So I sadly had no wide range attacks or a shield to protect me. You can have a "bow build" and also use shields and maces when appropriate. Like fighting wolf packs.

There are giant rocks in the meadows too, particularly near water. But they are fewer and far between there compared to the plains, that's for sure.
I never triggered that raid in the Meadows. Had it 3 times, but always in the Plains.

Yeah if you see that event you either need to run away, jump on a rock or punch all the dogs in the face and eat them all after

You might want to consider leveling up a silver shield and sword or make Frostner. I believe you will be at a great disadvantage in the Mistlands with just your bow leveled.

When I see that message the first thing I do, as others have said as well, is tactically retreat to better ground if at all possible (and it usually is possible).
Finding and area they cannot access or a chokepoint so you only need face one or two at a time as opposed to the entire pack can make things go far smoother.
But I also hear tell if you lay down and play dead they may leave you alone....
