I am on a low to mid end comp and don't have any problem making out what the land is on the horizon. Not sure what your deal is.

Pop in? This game does an amazing job of loading in stuff from a distance

Something seems to have changed recently. I get more model pop-in than I used to, and I haven't changed any settings.

Texture pop-in? Or model pop-in?

I ask, cuz I don't recall ever seeing texture pop-in in this game, but models do all the time just like in any game. If you're seeing texture pop-in from super low-resolution to their normal low-resolution, that's a problem imo.
