On your map just right click the older gravestones and it'll get rid of them for you, it should say underneath which day you died on them also :)

O wow haven't died in a while, but it's great they changed that, when i first started playing and exploring I sometimes died multiple times in a row and I had to add marker manually to be sure not to lose my tombstones XD
