Draugr Village!
So ive just recently come back to the game and while im using my old character my gear is from scratch and im not revisiting my old world for resources. Stumbled across a village and my first impression was this is amazing im going to turn this into a base, and as soon as I opened a door I was greeted by several draugr.
Managed to escape and have started making a base with walls nearby.
I only have a flint spear crude bow and leather armor at the moment.
Question is will the draugr keep respawning or can I kill them off and take over the village?

I enjoy finding these villages, especially the spawners! Even with being pretty careful and surrounding the structure walls with a layer of stake fencing, they will start to chew thru the walls to get to you if they become aware of you inside as you approach.Core wood beams on the floor are good for this, it's effectively a 1/2 unit ankle high wall and they don't know how to deal with that.

Literally just found one, about to explore it. Wanna contain spawners to use the village without destroying spawners, but seems tricky

Maybe try building spikes in front of the doors, open em up and let them run into them, repairing very so often. Build ladders and destroy roof parts as well. Hell, why not build a stonecutter and wall the spawners up, lining the inside with more spikes. Those draugr camps are a real blessing.

A draugr village ended the life of one of my 100+ game day hardcore characters. I could handle one or two very easily. I came around a corner and was greeted by 4, 2 of which were 1 star. Then 2 more archers came from around a hut. :(

I dont remember draugr villages when I used to play, I have been very happy with the find I know once I am able to make portals ill likely turn it into my hub area.
I suppose they are an even more rewarding find when your playing with people but I just run solo so its far more space than I presently need

I found over 4 different areas (different islands) all meadows with these villages. Some have the Druagr patrol around the village. One village could be upgraded to nice settlement if I was not playing solo. Close to water(ocean) with a stream that runs almost around it. short distance to black forest, mountain, swamp, and plains. The plains has furling village too. Other one was really close to the mountains. One building had elite, normal, and archers in the same building (around 6+/-)....I left as the whole village was alerted to me.

Cant remember is there a cap on spawned draugr before more come through the spawner?
Im considering just leaving them be and raiding the village on occasion

Yeah, it'll stop when there are two already nearby. This makes temporarily disabling it to build a containment cell pretty straightforward.

I think spawners can have like 2 enemies up at a time.

Thanks for all the help. I wasnt playing smart I died maybe 10 times taking the village, left 1 spawner in a house the draugr inside didnt seem to be trying to get out so I patched the roof and left them be. Repaired the great hall but some pieces seem to be getting damaged randomly. Do draugr villages only spawn in meadow biome? I was just trying to get to the second boss initially

I've only found draugr villages in the meadow where a swamp biome is relatively close.

In the swamps I often run across standing stones in a circle with 2 skelly, 1 Draugr spawners in them, so in some stone structures in the swamps; really enjoy finding the world spawners around the map...

There is usually 1-3 spawners in those villages. So, unless you destroy them, they will respawn.
Lots of entrails to be had killing the Draugr though...

Build floors just over the spawners so the draugr don't smash them in the enthusiasm of getting to you and you have sausages for life.
