^This. If you eat before a food expires you won't get the reminder. When the food is about to expire its icon flashes.

Mods most likely, havent seen one that removes only this text thou... in original game there is command i think for no UI afair, what was it... ctrl+F3 some random site tells me.

This is going to be 10 IQ comment but eat better maybe. The food is most of your character progression. Later in the game not eating even in base can be deadly gear or not. So there is a reason for that message.
