Performance can be CPU or GPU(and sometimes RAM) bound. If one ring of that chain is too weak - you won't get much performance.

Also thanks for your advice but if Im going to invest money in hardware im surely not going to play something that looks like it was made in the early 2000s.

No, it isn't. But at the same time, criticizing performance on an early access game is silly. It's fairly barebone, and there isn't much point in optimizing performance when the game is far from 100% complete.

As said above, more than likely your thread was merged with the other 1,000,000 like it.

Another pointless "game doesn't work good" thread... well, here we go again, people.

This game is in early access, as noted above, and as is extremely clear on the Steam store page. It's not going to work perfectly for everyone at this stage of development. You don't get that? Your problem. Stop blaming the developer when you're purchasing an EA game, in this case what amounts to a late alpha build that happens to be very playable for most of us.

There are hundreds of posts detailing numerous things you can do to improve performance.

Now, if you want some help then the first thing you should do is post your system specs so someone who actually understands what parts your computer has can compare those to the game's requirements and tell you whether or not your system is to blame.

As a customer, early access or not, Im entitled to offer my criticism (it clearly seems ppl here dont like that).

Im sorry but you guys didnt pay for me, you didnt gift it to me and you surely wont refund it neither so can I voice my discontent over the purchase I made? Thank you very much.

I get its early access but realizing minecraft looks and runs much better than this game despite being made exactly 10 years ago seemed like a good reason to come here and say someething (minecraft is also cheaper...).

Despite how annoying I find these posts and threads from people who think they have a right to complain about an EA game's performance I'm willing to help if you want it. Post your system stats and we'll go from there.

The only thing ridiculous is your inability or simple reluctancy to understand how game development works.

What you said is a good example of that seeing how Minecraft runs better because it IS ten years old and had been completed as a game. Valheim has been out less than a year.

I'd suggest not buying early access titles anymore.
