How would anyone here know if it's going to be on sale at any time in the near future? Just curious. Otherwise it's $20 for a solid EA game that is better than most officially released games. You can wait and hope or just get it and enjoy the experience (if crafting/survival/exploration appeals to you).

Devs and publishers almost never announce in advance when a game is going on sale. Considering this title is in it's earliest stages of Early Access, my bet is that we wont see a sale for quite awhile. Maybe not even until launch. Just my guess and I could be proven wrong!

dont get me wrong the game is good but the think its there its not that much to do after you beat the boses from what ive herd

yeah but its taking a fair amount of time to go through the bosses. if you can get $1 an hour's worth of entertainment its a good investment imo.

If anything, the price may well go up when it's "released", and that might be in months or years. Then you'll have to wait even longer until it goes on sale.

There's A LOT to do after killing all bosses: Learning to build, taming wolves as your "battle pets" who live with you in your base, learning to sail your own Long Boat and exploring the world, learning to fish and on and on!

The store page says this:

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
“No definitive plans here yet, but it is likely that the price will be increased over the course of the Early Access period.”

For 20 bucks they're basically giving it away, when it does go on sale it'll be for about 3 bucks less.

If you're expecting a 50% off sale, that's probably not gonna happen.

Over 170 hours, taking it slow in 2 playthrough and didn't even tried the 3rd boss yet. Depends. If you don't mind a bit of grinding and enjoy the game by going slow, you can get a lot of replayability for the 20$

My only wish is to add workshop to this game once finished, then I'm probably going to have over 1k hours of this

Probably not worth it if you read all the guides, execute a well planned speedrun to knock down all the bosses then feel like there's nothing else to do. If you avoid at least some spoilers though, explore, experiment and build at leisure there's weeks of atmospheric discovery to be had. It's a much better value proposition if you enjoy crafting, building and farming in between combat expeditions.
