tamed boars not able to kill

Hi, unfortunately I am not able to kill my tamed boars anymore. Is this a bug?

You can also turn on pvp, then you will be able to kill them.

there's a very helpful undocumented workaround in the latest patch, if you name the pig PUTIN it kills itself
