Did Mistlands Biome make a lot of people quit?

From my personal experience it feels like a lot of people are getting to mistlands biome and then quitting game?

Anyone else having this experience as well?

I see someone said:

"Not sure why people are so worried if others leave. IG has their money so no loss to them and no loss to those of us who have embraced ML. "

I was thinking about buying the game for me and my little brother, but if this is the community attitude, I don't think we want to be a part of it. Totally explains missing posts and "LofL" flaming.

Its hard to say. There are a few ragequit posts, but most of the complaining has been fairly positive -- for every quit there are 20 or something suggestions to make it better.
and a lot of people play it out and put it down until the next update. So you can't look at the online numbers etc to say they are gone for good, rather than just not playing right now.

About all you can say is some people quit, and more people seem to dislike the mist & spastic terrain than praise it. I don't like the mist much, but I don't hate it enough to quit either. I beat the boss and have few incentives to go back into the fog... I can enjoy building without too many more trips until I run out of marble. I don't have a tone of incentives to go back to the mountains or meadows either ... which is fine.

I can only speak for myself and I donĀ“t like the mistlands for a couple of reasons. I wonĀ“t quit the game because of this. IĀ“ll still explore it until I have more cores, since I only got two so far but itĀ“s not fun for me tbh. IĀ“ll get my cores and will keep my farm there for the improved food but yea other than that there is nothing of value for me in this biome and I hate how they have done the mist. I would have preferred it if it were less thick and more like the mist in the Far Harbour expansion from Fallout 4 which lets you see at least something, but thatĀ“s just my personal opinion.

IĀ“ll wait for the next biome and I wonĀ“t do the queen either. She is way too tanky from what I have seen in a video of a guy who soloed her. The fight took so long even though the guy did well, that I stopped the video after 20 minutes because it was so boring and repetitive what he had to do. Just from watching this I knew that I donĀ“t want to do this. DidnĀ“t look like fun to me. I rather fight the fire giant in elden ring another time than this and that is really an infamous fight.. heck I would even prefer fighting the two crucible knights bossfight in ER again which is the biggest bs fight in gaming ever but at least exciting.

I mean, the mist is a right pain in the ass, but it's all still head and shoulders above my experience with the swamp.

I hate the swamp with a passion due to the issues I have with visibility; it's too damn dark, even during the day a lot of the time. So much so that the transition into the mountains is a massive relief, since I can still see surprisingly well, even in the dark in the mountains.

Compared to that ā™„ā™„ā™„ā™„ā™„ā™„ā™„ā™„, the mistlands, is hardly as bad, sometimes the mist even lifts in large areas during morning and twilight. Plus, with a bit of planning you can seed a bunch of those wisp torches across an area to clear the fog for as long as they're up; I'm still pondering how to keep the mobs off of them indefinitely though.

Most of the time I can navigate without too much issue, though I have had some hectic scrambles to get back through a base portal before nightfall sets in completely.

Granted, I'm also pretty miserable at night in general until I can find haldor for a circlet.

Mobs donĀ“t go for mist torches anymore since the recent patch. I have already placed about a million of those torches and enemies completely ignore them.

lol goofy, magic was introduced when making first character, literally in a magical world, dropped onto it by a giant magical bird.
lmao.

Mistlands is the end of the game currently and there isn't even a point/reward for killing the Queen yet, but if people are quitting before getting any of the new gear then that would be an issue.

As for magic, its awesome and very powerful. However, you 100% don't have to use it so these people complaining about it make zero sense.

i just exited the game mid queen fight cause i realized i didnt wanna spend 40 more minutes getting it down, mistlands is a big failure imo, like others said, magic does not belong here.
The mist is annoying, the enemies are annoying the singular critter is annoying.
like, as soon as you step into the mistlands you start playing a completely different game, it just doesnt fit art wise or gameplay wise.
I wish it looked more like the early versions of the biome, with a more ghostly style, cause i was expecting elves and ghosts, instead we got... bugs. wow. amazing...
luckily its still early access, so they can still select the mistlands project folder and delete it, and start over from scratch. its terrible from start to finish.

In the middle of a huge black marble build, got caught by a 2 star seeker while travelling to set up my mining portal, 12 body bags, a longship and 2 Karves later, I finally got back to where I was when I jumped in this morning. Yeh, it's tough alright.

Not sure why people are so worried if others leave. IG has their money so no loss to them and no loss to those of us who have embraced ML. Really if you don't like it then you're better off going and playing something you do like. By the time you reach ML you have well and truly got your money's worth out of the game.

As for all the complaints about it people are entitled to their opinions on what is wrong with it. Personally I'm having a blast but I have to say I find the biome visually boring. Not the mist the actual biome but that's it.

You can cheese her if it gets too dramatic, you'll need an area effect weapon, the lightning Afl preferred. Run in, aggro her, then go back to the entrance, there's a niche to the left as you walk in, stand up against the wall and use the spin attack, found it by accident, but if you're desperate to kill her, it's an option. Because she cant see you, she wont spawn adds, it's full on cheese. hope this helps.

Not sure why you didnā€™t expect bugs, there were cobwebs everywhere which basically forecasted spiders or bug-like creatures.

Besides, there are already ghosts and tons of undead creatures in the game, it would be boring to add more. Instead, we have an expansion upon already existing things (the dvergers) which feels like it fits right in.
