So.
Much.
Entitlement.
Y'all just chill tf out. When it happens, it happens.
I too would love to see new content. But I'm not wasting energy waiting for it or complaining about it. You've allowed the devs to live in your brain, rent free.
Move on. Take a walk. Kick rocks. Hug your loved ones.

Not expecting anything, tbh. Not much more than the usual fluff.
As much as I love this game as it is (and I am still clocking up hours in it), I am done making excuses for the complete lack of substantial updates.
At least this isn't a Kickstarter MMORPG.
Anyone remember "Oath"? What about "Chronicles of Elyria"? Those two games literally poofed with crowdfunded money, the latter of which accumulated over 8 million USD. In both cases, there wasn't even a game TO play. I think Elyria finally produced an "alpha", but it was simply a 5 minute obstacle course to "showcase" jumping, running, etc. All of which could have been completed by a competent programmer in a day or two.
There was actually a class-action lawsuit against the latter, though I haven't heard anything else about that.
At least with Valheim we have a functional game to play. Might not be finished, and might be lacking options and features we want, but it's still a couple hundred hours of entertainment for a pretty good price. I guess it's even better online, too; I'm speaking from strictly a solo point of view.
Anyway, that being said, I do feel like IGS could give us more frequent updates on.. literally anything. A weekly "Dev Blog" or something would be wonderful; that way we can at least see progress is indeed being made, and potentially get reasons for slow weeks or weeks with none being made.
I'm willing to give IGS the benefit of the doubt, but they also need to be better with giving us updates, be it text or actual game updates. In the time it takes to complete/finalize a new biome and any new mechanics/systems it involves, they could have given us some or all of the QoL things we've asked for.. the ones that don't break the game, that is.

France pretty much shuts down completely in July and/or August (can't remember exactly) as well. The whole country just seems to go on vacation.
I think Germany does it smarter, but then we're not as centralized as France. Each state in Germany has their own vacation plan, which of course is coordinated with the other states.
My apologies for the off-topic.

Not all at the same time, but people often take around 4 weeks off, when suitable for them and the workplace. Things slow down a bit for some services, while students and part time workers might pick up some slack. Huh, yeah, that is the case isnt it? I saw Core Keeper devs went on vacation too recently, and theyre from Sweden as well. Does everyone just take their month vacation at the same time? How does that work for services and stuff like groceries and lights?
It's possible IGS shut down entirely for 4-5 weeks during some part of the summer, or half the team works in turn parts of the summer. Speculative, but pretty probable.

I expect the same as up to now, a new shirt every 6 months, a new chair every 12, a new mob every 18, and maybe a new biome in 4-5 years. Haven't play the game in something like two years, since they added almost zero content. Started the game from scratch three times prior to stopping, makes no sense. Soon I'll just stop even following this, f them, the devs are serious piece of trash. I could find local guys that would make in 6 months all the content they did thus far, glacier slow updates.

You can look up Sweden's Annual Leave Act if you want to get into the weeds of it.

Well at least its not Valhiem citizen, they are 12 years into Star citizen.Live and learn, I payed 23 $ and got my moneys worth but will NEVER buy early access again. The bit about NMS is true , not a great game but looks good and lots of new content. Its a unity game also. The Swedes play a good game , they win this one.

I'm not interested. I don't need a dev blog and July is almost over. Can wait to see what the devs are cooking up for this july devblog!
I expect nothing. what are you expecting?
Nothing. new images of the encounters of mistlands biomes? new teaser for building features?
I don't do idle speculation. what do you guys think? :)
Whenever Mistlands drops, there will still be Ashlands and Deep North as well as the end game to come, and so... that's all farther away than Mistlands and I'm not going to waste any time or energy on pondering upon what is or isn't being worked on at this time.
I'm perfectly willing and able to wait during the years to completion without wondering about what will be revealed in a dev blog this month o.O

Maybe an apology for stringing people along for 18 months without any new biome? I don't care if they are bug fixing ...No Man's Sky is a far more complex game also with a small dev team and they pump out content every 3 months like champions. This is a simpler low poly game and this rate we're looking at another 6-8 years to complete all biomes based on their progress now.

well, i don't blame you for being "pessimistic" i guess... the development of the game has been stupidly slow and not very transparent... but what would be the point of the devblogpost? the game being in early access means that we are able to participate (with feedback) on the development of the game and the devblogpost should cover that.... I agree with you thou devs are not very transparent on this regard... (mods also sometime delete comments and threads that criticize that) I still hope!!!

I wouldn't expect too much. It's been vacation month, after all.
Ooh right! last year they took a 1 + month vacation and delivered H&H in september right? hopefully we get Mistlands in that time too.... too bad we still don't have any clue on game progress... except for a couple of tweets here and there :/
