Below, a rescue I did yesterday for my friend and his group. That was quite fun and gave me something different to do after the last boss! It was the classical 'sail along Plains coastline, die by deathsquito, jump into land and get wrecked by fulings' situation.

With such quick and easy access to cheats, I can't see many bothering with this, which is unfortunate because it's a nice thing to do.
its about community. not to mention some of us outright refuse to use cheats.
Or just sail there by yourself since that's the point of the game? I've died plenty of times, and gearing up again or finding a safe way to go back there to get my ♥♥♥♥ is one of the best feelings when playing this game , relying on others to do it is just sad
...but not nearly as sad as going out of your way to make that comment on a thread designed to be positive.

There is a section here in the forums called "Looking for Group" I bet if you post a thread there asking for some assistance, people will come

I have offered to help people recover bodies on the forums several times. Haven't been taken up on it yet. I did meet one random lfg on the threads and joined his world. Then at one point he asked if he could join mine. Neither of us decided to steal or grief the other person. So that's encouraging.
Also if you are playing solo and decide to host your game , the password is valid only for that session. It isn't unlimited access

Yup totally, I got on their service once due to me ill plan a short cut route ended up marooning around a brown dwarf... It also make me learn never skimp on fuel scoops and never go lazy with route planning.
