So i bought this game a while back, and stopped playing for a bit. I started the game up and tried to play for the first time since July 6th of 2021. I mostly play on a laptop, and it had no issues running Valheim before this, but when I started it up today for the first time in about 5 months, the game was super laggy.
I tried verifying integrity of game files, restarting, clearing temp files, restarting steam, closing background programs, updating drivers, and even reinstalling the game, but nothing works. I also tried lowering the graphics in the in-game settings menu, but to no avail.
I'm using a gaming laptop (HP Omen 15) with a AMD Ryzen 7 4800H with Radeon Graphics 2.90 GHz.
It has a 16 GB RAM and a 64 bit operating system that uses Windows 10.
I've ran games like Red Dead Redemption 2 without too many issues, so I'm surprised that I'm having issues with Valheim. Can anyone tell me what to do to fix this?
