Wow. A performance patch. Finally. Thank you.

Zero sarcasm. This "small patch" is awesome. GPU usage is much lower in my base - about 30% less in the cooking area with all the fires. Camera scroll is much smoother, and the "hitching" when loading in assets in the distance on "very high" Draw Distance is now way smaller. Shadows now have a noticeably smaller impact on GPU usage - I bumped it up to High with only a ~5-7% performance penalty.

The title screen also doesn't turn my PC into a Boeing 747 anymore, although it could (and should) still be further reduced. Warzone did the same f***ing thing and it's very aggravating - so much so that they actually implemented a frame limiter for the menu in that game. It's just the start menu - it shouldn't turn my PC into a space heater.

There are still severe frametime spikes intermittently, specifically when loading in man-made structures like bridges and bases from what I can tell. There's also still some weird time-of-day issues where usage can spike at specific points of the day. And I did notice that my card is running hot despite these changes. But this is way better. The game has ran poorly for its entire early access period, and this is the first major step forward I've seen. Nice work, and keep it up.

Specs: AORUS XTREME 3080 Ti, 9900K 5 GHz, 32 GB DDR4, off an NVMe drive. 1440p 100Hz target.

I logged on for an hour or so just to check to make sure the controls were still working properly and I noticed better performance as well. I'm getting about 5-10fps boost in my main base and movement in general is smoother overall. and my controls didn't go wack so pretty good update
