Save issues
So to start, I have posted this in the bugs section last night, but I have seen no trespasses or help and want to get it squashed ASAP, so...
I did some building additions into a base I have in the mountains. Once done, I logged about 20 minutes later.
My GF plays my character sometimes and logged in later when I went to work. She told me when I got home that the stuff I built earlier was reset like it was before I worked on it.
I got all the materials from another base and built it all again. AGAIN, it reset. But this time, I had the materials on me instead of being back where I got them at the other base.
I've tried verifying game files. I've had no issues since EA release. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is your GF playing your account on your computer or another computer?
How do you shut your game down? Do you "log out" first?
When the game closes do you give it time to sync with steam cloud save? It can take some time depending on steam. For example having a laptop set to shut down when closed causes this issue a lot. Having a spotty connection with the ISP may also cause issues with cloud sync.. checking for ping and packet loss is a first step.
All that said, typically this is an issue with steam cloud saves. In the worst case you can just disable steam cloud save.
Have you ever tried to use any mods? Are you playing a solo world or on a dedicated server?

Are you using the same computer? Different computers? In either case:
Disable Steam Cloud saving for Valheim for all Steam profiles on a computer, otherwise it will happily overwrite all data whenever a different person Steam account logs on the computer because the data is per windows profile.
Steam Cloud also has sinc issues across many many games.
It's one of the many many issues with Steam Cloud. Steam doesn't really address it because people get upset with whatever game its effecting despite being a problem with Steam, not the games.

But now that you mention it, gonna experiment and try logging out first.

I've shut down numerous times by restarting my computer or with task manager (ending process). Every time it revered to the most recent auto save ("World save in 30").
1300 hours I have yet to endure a corrupted save file. I don't even think I've suffered a crash.

Well it is great when nothing goes wrong and my game has been solid with cloud save on... that said there is no denying that it "can" cause problems.. even causing games to vanish from steam... or the game is still installed but steam does not recognize it as being there.If you close down the game in any weird ways you can corrupt your save files.

Issues like that are always caused by improper shutdown/ sync.

Oh believe me, I've had my fair share of problems with steam and its infamous "steam cloud". Titan quest and Grim Dawn are two games that come to mind. Just destroyed my progress because I made mistake of playing on my nieces computer one morning while I was taking her to school.
