Yes, the source of the head is not important. However I am not sure if hanging the head registers the world level or not. I am not sure the world level still works that way; I am getting hard hit by swamp invasions and I just got there, not even found the boss marker yet.

The world level goes up when you beat the boss, not when you hang the head.
I was just wondering if the option to hang was there before you kill the boss.

If so that is pretty cool if you want to be able to swap out boss powers in a low level world.

Yes, on a new world you will have to kill Eikthyr again.

If you take the antlers with you and don't care about the stamina buff, then you don't have to.

Thank you all, SO much! I really appreciate the input. I play on a solo seed and lots of questions in my head at times. I show my SIster my projects and she hers, (we have seperate accounts and play that way as well), but always looking for outside input for the posers in my brain I can't Google or find on the boards. But building is always in mind! Of course the perfect seed is still out there somewhere...huge, flat Meadows, lots of inland ponds or lakes...I dream big! lol We're all in this together and frankly, I don't plan on going anywhere else for a loooong time! Valheim is my Home!!

Basically character progression is separate from world progression.
Beating bosses and changing world events is tied to world progression.

But really the game saves are small and you can have as many worlds and characters as you want.

28 worlds in various states of progress with all the backup files 1.92gigs

Bonemass is the one I run with--Modor, Eikthyr, Elder, all situational but Bonemass is very useful especially during raids/hunts.

You only need to do that if you want to hit the shrine and activate the run speed buff.
I personally only care about modorboat, and never use the others, but if you swap them around or like this buff you will need to kill it again. The good news is that he is like 2 hits at higher levels, so you can do it later. As long as you have his antlers in hand, you can put it aside forever or for later. Ive killed him a couple of times just for a head to hang up at my house.

The worlds are HUGE. It is unlikely your world is too hilly everywhere.... you have probably explored like 0.01% of it. You can also flatten the ground yourself, but its a dark art and takes some time and effort. Big flat areas exist where there are several falling apart buildings together, but finding one of those in a good spot can be tricky.

you can also swap worlds at will, so you can leave the old world and return to it if you want.
