Game crashed, erased equipment and position
Game crashed in the middle of a long voyage, erased ~an hour of gameplay, my boat, and critical map entries. I know it's early access, but exception handling should have been a first priority.

I know it's early access, but exception handling should have been a first priority.
The problem with this, is that it means the developers need to be able to trigger this bug for this to happen. This has happened for a lot of people, but a lot of other people also hasn't had this happened to them (yet). In other words, there are a lot of 'first priorities' via player input. ;) Someone else suggested to only add content and fix bugs afterwards, which of course is absurd. That guy compared software development with construction, which further made no sense.
If you have Cloud Saving, go to https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorage and CTRL F to look for Valheim. See if you can find your world within the last few minutes.
Mind you, from my perspective, how much can one really do within an hour of the game, that cannot be redone with another hour?

It doesn't matter. As the OP rightly has indicated, this is early access. Game crashes can and will happen. Play at your own risk, and do backups, backups, backups.
Of course this wouldn't have helped here. Shice happens (with early access).
OP, I feel your pain. But this is what "Early Access" means.

It's important for the devs to know if the OP was running a mod or not. If the OP was, then the mod has a high probability of screwing up the game and thus the bug can be ignored.
However if there was no mod involved, and there was more than 1 person crashing, this would be something to address before even working on Mistlands.
Yes it is early access and defecation happens when we least want it in life, but it is a good thing to know, at least IMO, if mods were running or not.
