Patch rollback
Is it possible to uninstall the latest patch? I get kicked back to desktop trying to load with the update. I didn't see anywhere by right clicking the title in the library.

In the games list: right-click Valheim, choose "Properties".
Select "Betas" in the menu on the left.
Select "default_old" in the drop-down on the top-right.

Try deleting your texture overhaul mod if the game crashes and wait for an update

Select "Betas" in the menu on the left.
Select "default_old" in the drop-down on the top-right.
The problem with this solution is that "default_old" also gets updated. So, if another little patch comes out tomorrow, your game will be broken again with no fix. What they should do is have several versions available in the betas tab.

I'm not sure it works like that. default_old is the last version to load properly, so it wouldn't make sense to automatically update.

Well it worked precisely like that for me too, had default_old on since the last patch and the game is broken for me now.

Maybe not every patch, but default_old is now 214.2. I've had two updates to the game since I changed it in properties. Fortunately I have 213.4 saved and I can play that version with the mods I want.

I saw someone claiming that it was BepInEx. The problem is: Bepinex is used to load ANY and all mod dlls, so even the players that use simple mods such as clock will be locked out of their game, and there is no option to roll back to the last update

Then perhaps mods will update before that happens. I only have 3 and funny thinks happen when I deactivate them. Never thought a "small update" would break any mods. I have almost lost my game several times throgh the course of this playthrough, especially with the Mistlands update, and felt like uninstalling but I kept tinkering and somehow got it back. Not even sure what I did. Keep playing around, delete old saves rather than copying over existing ones, reinstall the game, verify files, stuff like that.
