Has anyone found deeper meaning in a non-religious sense for the appearances?

I started tracking my position and his when he appeared. Put 2 markers of your preference with a M1 and O1. Sequence these up (M2, O2) M for me and O for Odin or rather his direction from you. When he appears make sure you are facing him. Open map and put M on your location and then put O along the direction your pointing.
After doing this for a bit, although its hard to tell for sure, I wonder if he appears in the direction of the next boss alter. There seemed to be some consistency in areas but since I don't know where the next boss alter and there are multiple boss alters still kinda hard to tell.
