You can always make some backup armor with the hide if you ever end up dying. So you can have some extra resistance and no slowdown while you run after your grave.

i dunno, i typically run to my grave naked unless i need to go on the mountain. i die i typically have an inventory full of stuff so bringing more only hinders the recovery effort. at most i bring foods i could drop and not be worried about losing.

As mentioned, backup armor, or armor for a new character, or give to someone new in MP. You are still gonna progress to better armor so the one set you got is also gonna be obsolete.

Another vote for backup armour.

As it's 'free' (i.e. uses nothing that's not limited like ore), it's fine to dump if you got too much to pickup at the grave. Plus, it's gives a sneak bonus.

And getting it to top level, which is now possible, takes quite a lot. I have multiple sets at a few different bases.

I'd like to see a trollskin slide type thing. Where you can build them on a downward slope to slide along, or chuck items onto.

At least you can turn it into like three bits of coal now!
