I dunno... 3 of us cleared a tar pit in a couple minutes, we had one person keeping them busy in melee while 2 of us shot them with arrows. Yeah they hit pretty hard but but no worse than the other tough mobs.

Playing as group is easy mode

4 Guys =
400% damage
400% Health

Monster =
116% damage
260% Health

Thats 1600 DoH versus 300 DoH
(Means a single player would need to mod the Monster HP to 20% to have the same difficulty)

Btw why do i have the perception that most people state here all day that they are the Super dooper elite player, play as teams

Yeah once they hit you it's pretty much game over. So better shoot them from long range with bow and be very careful.

Basically had to lure over 2 patrols of goblins to kill them for me. Only one of the goblins survived.

Last night I went exploring the plains and found a Fuling village. A whole army of goblins including a berserker chased me so I lured them to the tar pits. I got killed instantly but when I came back none of the Fulings survived either. They are OP for sure.

I've been able to take out 2 Tar pit's by using Wooden Arrows to bait the Growth's over one at a time. When it approaches, start circling it constantly and wait for it to attack, it will miss as long as you keep strafing it. It's attack has a cooldown of about 5-6 seconds so it's safe to attack for a moment. Use any weapon you want.

Do not block or dodge their attacks, just move calmly and sprint when needed.

Naa, game must be harder, that means only the fulings are too weak

I do like with fulings. I try and find something to climb up on and snipe then with the bow. It from distance.

The other tactic is to to like with surtlings. Dodge the projectile attack and melee then to death fast as possible.

Tar slimes seem like they are stronger than most the bosses. Seriously rather fight two dragons at once than fight 2 tar slimes at once.

invite 6 shamans to the party (you between all of them)
100% Deadly, 100% gamebreaking for Permadeath player

I'm going to have to test to see what arrow is best and just pick them off from a mile away.

Tar Slimes (Growths) have the following:
-Far ranged attack
-Puts tar debuff on you that is legendary-bad especially during these stamina changes
-Poison damage as well
-Also knocks you back

They need to at very least remove one of these mechanics from their attacks. It just feels like they were given every single ability in the game.

Overall a decent monster for the game. I have found dodging the attacks using the dodge roll is extremely important to close the gap between you and them. Poison pots help a bit. Bread is an amazing stamina food. You probably want at least one ally going searching for tar pits.

Loxes will make short work of all the tar pits if you have any nearby.

The growths have the same weakness as blobs which is Blunt damage.

They'd be fine if it was a single tar blog nuke which is honestly what I expected when I ran into them the first time. Instead it's a machine gun of tar nukes that each can 50% or less you with you shield up and the main post armor kit.

I did also notice the lox seem to have gotten a buff. They hit hard before but now they can plow through a silver shield like a twig. Probably a side effect of the weapon rework.
