don't know how you're playing, but my friends and I are progressing very well
We solo most things except for the bosses

The startgame is extreme. later with a higher skill its easyer..... well new player will never reach that skill, but still, it would be playable

I needed only 3 hours to skill the bow to 100 with 10 000% xp income. Not sure how many new player will spend 300 Hours in the meadows and focus all that time only on skilling the bow. Btw, i did that allready the tricky way, if you play normal (means you shoot not 7 not drawn Arrows in every Greyling) you need arround 1200 Hours

Old guy here. Only playing single player. Not sure about how the difficulty is for 2 players or more, but I literately never die in this game. And if I can do that...

Be careful, don't rush, go prepared.

Honestly it’s exactly the same, I played at release I played after HH after the patch and its the same small shields are still OP and parry is still to easy and you can still kill wolves with starter bow and wood arrows and troll armor. And I play on server where 3-4 people are on.

The startgame is in my opinion unplayable. Later you are probably right, except for the plains i saw until now no real problems, and the plains are situation/seed dependent

Yep, started from zero again. Roasted Deer, Boar and some Berries and leather Armor with a bronce buckler/sword and you can finish the black woods like nothing. (Shamans are annoying but trolls need like 4 hits to kill you, berserker do 4 damage from about 80)

Mountain was always easy, swamp is annyoing sure until you have enough iron and antidot and plains isnt as bad in full silver. (Excluding camps)

i started from scratch, new seed. progession is better/easier. i have die a lot but that was on purpose. new food system can make it easy.
