Yea either try looking near some of the hilly parts of swamp which do exist or use a workbench with some wood for creating underwater platforms to more easily mine.

Too soon for that probably. Just find another swamp biome somewhere

Some swamps will have very few Sunken Crypts or none at all, whilst others will have loads dotted about all over. Find a different swamp.

You can use the wishbone item (like when you mine for silver on the mountain) in the swamp area and it helps you find iron in places other than the Iron Gate dungeons. Good luck!

Just random. sometimes spavn a lot at small place.

Yes use the wishbone which you get after defeating the boss of the swamp....
