I think you don't quite understand what that word means. The OP was very obviously serious about what they said.

I see where you are coming from and yes if a game supports modding that can be a huge factor. Unfortunately modding is not only not supported but actively discouraged and half your mods will break with every update. That's a very long shot from being supported and once the new biome drops you'll have to wait anything from days to months to even be able to play the game depending on your loadout.

I'm in the very fortunate position where I can just fix the things I'm using on my own provided the core plugins are updated (which does tend to happen quickly) but the vast majority of mod users will be stranded for a while on release.

Umm, you can turn down the ambient sound in sound settings. How does somebody who uses HD graphics mods not know this?

please remember that as of now modding is not officially supported. It's done at your own risk, there are no guarantees for future compatibility. Please keep backups of your save files before you start modding. If you need technical support, please always include a full list of active AND prior mods, since that can influence the game's behaviour with regard to bugs.

4) how can you improve the game rating because of mods when they're not only not officially supported, but being actively discouraged?

I'm curious as to what your coveted rating is without mods, you know for the actual game.
