Fire keeps going out in the Black Forest.

Got a mining camp set up in the black forest. Everything is covered. I have a chimney for my fire but it keeps going out for what seems to be no reason. It is not even raining. What the hell is going on?

There's gotta be something blocking your chimney

for me when this happens its cuz i built a 1x1 wide chimney, and the fire needs to be placed *perfectly* at the center for this to not happen
build bigger or place better basically

The key to having a well vented chimney is to make sure it extends about 2.5 feet above the height of your roof, and also make sure that the top of your chimney also have a cover piece. I am sure you know about having the top of one's chimney covered, but most do not realize that your chimney will rarely be effective it it does not extend the proper distance above the highest point in one's roof.

most likely your smoke vent is too narrow, which causes the smoke to build up. If the campfire have no space to generate another smoke lump, it goes out for a second before trying again.

Campfire should have a clearance of a large floor tile cubed for itself, and the smoke should have a full wall section of opening to escape the interior to the side, either guided by a roof segment or a section of stairs.
