Solo player assistance.
Please. for the love of god, can you make kit recovery easier for solo players.
I am a grown kidult with other responsibilities other than running around the map constantly dying trying to find my lost gear where (you opinions may differ here, I understand that. I see alot of 'gitguds' flung around. Some kids just have far too much time on their hands) I have ventured too far into somewhere I'm not ready for (which I have no idea I am not ready for, there is ZERO in game scaling for some of these damn biomes) and by that time I'm miles away from home with zero chance on making it back through again without the gear and sustenance I had on me with my original fit.
I'm not asking for warping, or lore breaking mechanics, just something that doesn't make a couple of hours adventuring and exploring and learning the game, turn into a rage quit with the 12th deathsquito death with no idea where my original death was.
DOn't get me wrong, I understand the 'softly softly' approach of the game. I'm fully trolled up, I got flaming arrows on a level 4 bow, I got Lox meat. I ain't boldly going where I shouldt go, I'm just exploring the map at a steady pace.
And then I get a Mob attack from three different biomes, stuck on trees, can't see for crap, done on stamina with ZERO way out, (which is frustrating, let me run away at least, Adrenaline does wonders for stamina when your life is on the line. oh, now there's a thing. An adrenaline boost not for fighting, but for running when you've hit really low health)
and then the long slow drudge back out to try and tease your lost kit away from all the mobs still floating around it.
only to die again.
and then again.
and then you build more gear, maybe a boat, try a different route. And then die again.
The game is wondereful, it's lovely to look at, it'e mechanics are awkward, but understandable. The weather system is just amazing. I am enjoying the base building/resource loop. Its a GOOD game. But it's not a GREAT game, not atm. At the moment it just feels like solo players are being massively ♥♥♥♥ upon by a nasty and vindictive game mechanic that at times you just don't see coming.
But we don't all have friends, or the time to sink chasing down hours of hard work and learning.
Give an old gamer with a life a bone here ok. Please. Just something, just a little something that I don't have to spend hours upon hours of time that I have already put in, trying to get the stuff back I have already invested in.
It's still supposed to be a GAME ok? As in, it's still supposed to be FUN! and when you die, for whatever reasons, it stops being fun.

Welcome to Valheim.
The game punishes you for dying, and players are supposed to die often.
It is meant to be this way and yes it is a pain in the ass.
Edit: btw if you only have troll armour, flaming arrows and a lvl4 bow and get killed by deathsquitos while hunting lox, you definitely are not where you should. I only dared to enter in the plains after I killed Moder and had full wolf gear

for safety when i die i put a map marker over my death marker and label it body so i dont lose the original spot. also when getting along way from base put up a building and a portal bed etc to get back quicker easier. it takes time i know but worth it in the long run. and as an old gamer i played elite when first out 1984.
