If you food counter runs out, retreat, eat, advance again.

The advantage of a dungeon is, you don't have to clear it in one go. If you don't succeed at the first time, come back later. The bones you find in a dungeon are good enough to upgrade leather armour, shields and a club to a next level; which may be enough to clear it in the end and retrieve your items.

i said above that my gear is almost max lvl, only leather stuf are not maxed because i needed bones. the plan now is to start in a new world because i cant find boars in curent because i killed them all (?) and return later to existing one

Eat food that gives you health and stamina.
Use clubs & shield.

This is not rush and slash everything game... Block and hit. Use corners / doors if there's multiple skeletons. If your health get low, wait to regenerate it, then proceed.

If you need help with body/gear retrieval There is a group that does just that. Could also have a friend join . 2 is better than 1 I personally love running into the plains buck naked to retrieve my gear when i mess up haha

well i need to craft weapons to retrieve weapons. my corpse had almost everything max curent level and i needed to enter dungeons to progres. my opinion is that corpse bags sould be in the entrance of dangeons, caves or whatever because if you make a mistake it can make you restart the game, or quite it more likely...

I've died in tombs. Just make a club and shield if you need it. Run straight to your corpse, there's nothing to stop you in the tomb until you get to your tombstone. Fast as F..K on the retrieving. Also depends which biome you're in

This is a hard lesson because as you progress through the world, you need to be mindful of this exact "what if" scenario. So when you start replacing your gear with better stuff, DO NOT THROW IT AWAY! Keep it, because it will serve as a backup in situations like this.

Map location inside dungeons is a bit weird, the dungeon itself is actually way up in the sky and the entrance teleports you up there, so digging won't help. You're going to need to go back in. Fortunately dungeons can be permanently cleared by destroying the spawners so victory is inevitable.

Dungeons are instances, you cannot dig into them from above.

what are the best weapons for dungeons?

Any weapon you want, but I think maces/clubs do more damage to skeletons than swords if I remember correctly. Also there is a cheesy tactic that can be abused to basically kill any enemy in there without them being able to hit you. but it's up to you if you want to make use of that or not. When you enter a dungeon the small entrance "platform" while you stand on it the enemy won't follow or attack you. So you can just go there while the enemy chases you and then shoot them with arrows from a save distance without them being able to reach you. But it's it's a little bit cheesy and too easy to do it this way.

If you are having problems and can make Stagbreaker it can help with crowd control and does reach through walls and doors.
