Take heart in that you are less dumb ignorant now. Your real mistake was giving up too soon trying to figure out the weapon.

I'm a bow guy since I've been staying Bronze Age/Troll armor and sneaking into the higher level biomes. I do switch out my secondary weapons (sword, mace, atgeir) regularly to level them up.

Atgeir master race. Relatively fast jab primary attack, secondary attack is a crowd clearer that knocks most enemies away. After spending time with the crystal ax, i only keep it around for Abominations, Atgeir is my heart and home. I don't think bow should be included since I'm pretty sure EVERYONE uses it. I see bow as i see a pickax, a necessity.

Atgeir is way too OP for my taste but it's good to have some Pierce melee as a Backup when using Axe

For why I like it, I like 2 handed Weapon on most game I play
Either it's a Tank or DPS anything 2 Handed, I'm in.
And there's Axe here while Hammer look as cool but I prefer Big ass Axe over Hammer anyway.
The timing on swing and a well-place full combo is just soooo satisfying !
I'm waiting for more 2Handed Axe or some new stuff like Two Handed sword to dig in haha

The only complain here is Atgeir got all the love for some reason
Fast, no movement speed pernalty, have AoE Guaranteed Guardbreak(?) move not to mention x3 Armor value when block
what I want is give that x3 Armor Value on block to Axe and we Battle Axe lover will be very happy, we sure walking slowly but well timed and good plan-out move reward Battle Axe greatly.

A feeling when I Carry my Axe into a Blizzard while getting hunt from pack of Wolves is soooo cool and I like that alot.

I'm hopelessly attached to an iron ax that I really need to replace with something else now that my group's reached the plains. Draugr fang is a close second.

Has to be the bow for me. I need to try more of the weapons out as I did skip Iron other than a sword/mace

Sword for the versatility of both wide sweeps and a central thrust on a single weapon, plus that secondary attack just feels great when it hits. I just wish you could still aim during the wind-up animation.

Silver sword. The extra spirit power in the swamp is quite helpful in the swamp. If you find a silver vain exposed and you are ramping your coop players up into iron armor having a silver sword can make the task a bit simpler. Having a silver shield works in the Plains.

Spear would be nicer if we could throw it.

I'm in the atgeir fraction. That thing is just nuts.

mouse-3 throws the spear in default. I had to remap mine, since my middle mouse button stopped working, but I have a couple side buttons on my mouse.

Battle Axe and Crystal Axe, easily

Sword. It is fast and has strong special attack. And it looks like a sword.
