Between caves and golems you must have enough for a crystal palace. On one save I have an iron chest full, have even sent a bunch to the obliviator.

had a seed where a mountain has several "stacked" veins
mostly 2 stacked and 2 on the left/right it was insane

My last save was particularly bare when it came to caves.

Had one 2 deep and a third one semi-attached. It was great but lordy, what a hole. then a golem spawned in it. He looks good in there.

leaveing behind huge holes in the ground becomes pretty normal once you start harvesting marble in the mistlands ^^these giant skeleton bones extend greatly into the earth depending on the angle they got generated.

Yup, interconnected and/or layered silver veins are not particularly uncommon.
