Mistlands Dungeon
How to find it? The wikia says it's beneath a tower, I found the tower but I have no access to a underground area. I tried to dig down and there's nothing here. Do all towers have the dungeon, or only some? How to know if a tower have the dungeon or no?

Dude, I just explore an entire island with my friend, the island was 99% Mistland (a small piece of Plains in the corner) we found 4 Dvergr roaming around, but 0 constructions... We explore the entire island, even placed more than 60 Wisp Torches around. Today we'll go to another island to try again.
My problem here is the design of those POIs. In the other biome you are able to spot a POI (point of interest) from afar because it's completely different from the biome itself... Here in Mistlands, even without the fog, everything is almost the same thing as the biome... If you find an ancient sword/armor you won't know if you really find an ancient sword/armor or a skeleton until you get really close.
The same with the structures, in our first island we found a Dvergr pier and a Dvergr tower, both look alike too much, at the time we didn't know what it was and what does what, but now that I know I have to explore a tower to find the dungeon I see how a player can be confused... Now you include the fog to make everything even worst (I know, there are mods that remove the fog, but it's part of the mechanic, I don't want to ruin my first experience with mods that can change my game play that much)

Those are not much of a point of interest, more like resource node akin to copper veins or swamp guck, due to their abundance.
You can make wisp torches anywhere to light your way. I'm not sure if gjall can still attack them, seekers do not, so you could place them underneath or on the side of structures like giant remains, scrap armor, dvergr ruins, or glowing roots.

Yeah, I'm placing at the side of walls and structures, high places. They do attack because I already saw some dropped on the ground, but they don't hunt for high places. If you find an ancient sword/armor you won't know if you really find an ancient sword/armor or a skeleton until you get really close.

Dungeons can be annoying to find. I end up finding way more dvergr bases and empty towers with the wood spiral stairs going up. Also cleared about 10 dungeons and still haven't found the mistlands boss rune locator....sigh

It's in towers that have stairs going down.
Some dvergr towers are dark, no yellow lanterns, and the side and tops of the towers have seekers. Usually means a set of steps inside leads down to an "infested mine".
Sometimes there are mine openings in the side of hills and cliffs with a big set of stairs going up to it.
The big sets of stairs usually lead up to a very very very distinctive shape of mountain. It sort of looks (at least to me) like a face with three huge stone spikes spreading out backwards, kind of like the headdress of an american indian chief. This entire mountain spawns as one object. Once I learned what to look for I could spot the three huge backwards slanting spikes from different angles... I run around the mountain, and there'd be the stairs lead up.

Towers populated by dvergr do not have dungeons, but the dvergr towers that are instead filled with seekers do. No need to dig, just follow the stairs (down in towers, up in the cliff-side dungeons).
