Companions

Are there any mods that add companions to this game? More than just the wolf would cool I think.

In Valheim, you're the companion.

Do you know the names of those mods?

For Npc it's "Friendlies Reloaded"
For dudes to work for ya it's "Greyling Minions"

As said above, mods are not always updated and may not work with current version of the game. Anyway Valheim take 3mins to reinstall

There is indeed. You can go to your Steam Library and in the top left, there's a search bar. Click on that and type the following exactly:

Elder Scrolls IV: Skyrim

Then you will have a companion in your game.

Hey there,

please remember that as of now modding is not officially supported. It's done at your own risk, there are no guarantees for future compatibility. Please keep backups of your save files before you start modding. If you need technical support, please always include a full list of active AND prior mods, since that can influence the game's behaviour with regard to bugs.

Have a good day!

Convince some of your real human friends to play with you. It's fun playing with others.

You can put a portal by the trader and go have conversations with him.

Yes you can. I was thinking more like humanoid companions, not unlike ones from, say skyrim. That act like moble chests and fight for us. I'm sure such a thing doesn't exist in valhiem mods or in the minds of the devs for base game but I can dream.
Uh. You can have a many tamed wolves as you own follow and fight for you now. Also as stated above, ride a Lox too.
