A bronze atgeir's secondary attack will stun wolves. Iron is better but bronze is doable with some patience.

you might want to get some iron from the swamp first , a serpent shield and iron mace kills stone golems btw , you can also dig silver with an iron pick and make silver weapons , the sword or frostner work well on wolves, i dont do the caves until i have barley from the plains to make fire resist myself

how do i make serpent shield ? and, is iron mace better than the dmg of copper sword slash dmg ?

Yes, find the Fenris Hair in Frost Caves, you have to look for seperated rooms with big red wooden doors, inside, you can loot the room & break the surrounding area for materials you neeed for it.

To craft the hood you will need a Cultist trophy as well.

Finding Fenris hair has been a problem for a few players. It hangs from ceilings on either side of altars in Frost Caves. Altars usually have darkwood wolf ornaments with pedestals containing lootable items on top. One can see the knotted braids of Fenris Hair suspended in front of red jute banners. The braids are lootable by pressing the interaction button, but one can also jump on top of the pedestals, then jump and slash with a knife and cut down a few remaining hair suspended from the ceiling. I have also found it hanging on the back wall of alcoves where pedestals, bonepiles, chests & putrid meat are found.

yeah, i think ill have to upgrade my troll armor first then
its tedious enough to deal with wolves alone whilst just starting up the game few days ago and only reached bronze

I'd recommend taking some fire resistance pots, or at least health pots. Those cultists have a fire attack that is a devastating damage over time spell. I've been killed by them even when wearing full Fenris armor a few times.
