Wheres the other wood walls
Am I the only one that thinks having one and only one type of wood wall is annoying

Can bats get through those walls? I see gaps.

I'm a bit more annoyed with not having dark wood cross beams and the fact the black marble pillars look bad to me. At least the regular wood still matches with the darkwood stuff, unlike the stone-marble.
Marble seams are way too strong, especially on pillars, so it looks like a stack of blocks that would fall over if bumped into, amplified by the fact they're only 1m tall. Regular stone pillars have weak seams in comparison and kind of blend together when stacked on top of each other at least; but if you throw them on the marble they stand out terribly. The arch is also extremely chunky.
Hottub with its metal chimney, but we cant add accessory pipes to route the smoke in a different direction.
Treasure chest being pure decoration and not being openable also kind of lame.
The wolf adornment is huge compared to the other ones.Stuff like this, that has zero effect on gameplay but players would love to have for style's sake, are a valid reason to do DLC. Not an expensive DLC- but if you sell a few thousand of these at $1.99 USD or so, that will make it worth the cost of having the dev team do the work of creating said walls.
I would however like to see "log cabin" walls made from core wood, as the game literally says that about core wood. Should have more hit points than standard wooden walls, as is the case IRL. Core wood is only available in the Dark Forest, so it seems balanced to me.
Hard to tell, but you know you can stack corewood vertically to make log cabin walls right? Been there since the beginning.
Oh- duuh. Guess I'm a little slow on the uptake.

I guess what it comes down to is that creative folks find ways to do amazing stuff because that is how their minds work. The rest of us are more linear and probably need to look at more thinks like shown above. I have also seen and made some amazing glass walls combined with the beams and logs. Then there are fabulous walls you can make from the two different X pieces. And you can also mix stone and wood, especially the tarred pieces and the lattice and incorporate the raven and wolf decorations. You can also mix the Xs onto stone walls for large lattice patterns, use roofing as walls. Human Imagination is still a fine tool, if often overlooked. Check out some of the vids, of which there are many.

Can build with logs, one log at a time. Just like in the olden days.
Valheim is a cough brutal survival game that has some building which they have fleshed out a bunch since the game was first offered. It's not an MMO, it's not got a sub, it's still in EA and it has no DLC's and no indication at this point there will be any. It's a game with a beginning, middle and end (which we haven't gotten to yet, sadly) so unless the devs change their minds and makes it a different kind of game, just be glad for what we have. Or not, your choice.
That was a bit harsh. True, the game is not funded through a subscription model but it it still in development and, for such a small studio, the initial sales were a huge success. We're talking about 200+ million dollars in sales for a studio with, as of February this year, 8 employees.
Also, although Valheim is a survival game, we can't disregard that the building mechanic in the game is one of its most appreciated parts, which the devs themselves have realized and promotes in their blog updates, so kindly asking for more of something you like is not unreasonable in this case.

do you just want a ready made wall to place quickly? because ya, that would be nice, but you can actually make all kinds of different custom walls. I've not used a regular wall in ages because it's fun coming up with new patterns. you just gotta mess with it and find what works.

Wall types I have made: Wood,
Core Wood logs stacked,
Core Wood pillars, like a row of tree logs,
Wood Beams, (purely for a wall),
Stone 3x3,
Stone Pillars,
Iron Wall,
Iron Support Beams,
Raised Ground
Black Marble cubes ...
I do see the Plains Camps Fuling weird huts, and that would be a COOL D L C to have, and maybe another D L C of Dvergr pieces you cant make yourself. I totally think people would do like a $1.99 or $2.99 for some more build pieces. I mean, I would have paid $10.00 for Mistlands, happily, too. Also, would pay $5.00 for a Dangerous / Odins Wrath version of the game, where they add mini bosses, and special items.

Erm hate to break it to yer but Nearly EVERYBODY makes a Log Cabin right now out of Core wood. You find ruins of them in the mountains if you need a template.

You can all ready stack core wood logs horizontally to make a log cabin or place them vertically to make a wall. They do have more health because a creature has to destroy enough of them to make a 1 tile wide hole to get through.
