yeah it takes a good few minutes of running in a straight line to get away from the boss.. probably nearly impossible if your base is in the vicinity. Yes cloud saved characters are nice. Here is a tip for EIkthyr: Use fire arrows and don't get close lol.

Yeah once you summon a boss it stays spawned until you kill it. A friend and I went to fight one of the earlier bosses in our first playthrough and accidentally spawned 3 bosses. That was fun. Suffice it to say, we're very careful now when summoning bosses lol.

hehe boss keeps following me. I got my gear back but it keeps getting me. I just noticed I can take my character to a New World :). This game is full of pleasant surprises.

Boss owns that area now. Go far enough away that it won't bother you, or quickly get to your corpse and reclaim your stuff. When you do that, you gain a large damage reduction and heal-over-time buff, giving you the moment you need to equip your gear, and decide to fight or flight.

As for future bosses: Have a backup for if you die. Set up a portal nearby, have spare food ready, a spare set of weapons/armor if possible. Preparation is a major factor in survival.
