How's that any different from you using a mod like "EquipmentAndQuickSlots" for 5 dedicates slots for equipment, and 3 dedicated slots for food? It

I wouldn't mind if inventory increased few slots, but it makes it more of a challenge to only take with you what you need for the time, And sence we don't need any material for repairing stuffs i think the inventory space is working just fine. prepare abunch of empty portals that you can activate at any time when you visit islands and need a quick way back. I just recently put up 6 portal i named "Random 1-6" just for this cases,

Build a base or lodge where you can store stuff. Leave the tools that you won't use while exploring (like the hoe and the cultivator) at the base to free up inventory space. Build a cart that you can fill with materials and move around. Build a ship that you can fill with materials and move around. Find Haldor, buy and equip a Megingjord belt to increase the weight you can carry. Carry a couple of cores with you so you can set up a portal where ever you are to move any non-ore non-smelted metals quickly to your base and store them.

Small inventories are a part of the game's strategic challenge. They are already *too* large IMHO, Same with the weight limit, it is very generous, too much so really but given the lack of a Travois or sled/sledge early on, have to live with it.
