Ideas for a chimney

Hello friends, i want to build this house.
https://prnt.sc/vPUsHuSS1k-N

Can i have some ideas for a chimney?

I want to direct the smoke from the hearth, cooking pot and oven and they will be on the first floor, so i'm assuming i would have to make it out to the side of the building like this:

https://prnt.sc/bPMainB7AQM8

But i'd like to ask for some ideas first.

Thanks everyone for all the answers. I think it's coming out nicely. Should be done in a couple days

Wooden part is storage.

Chimney turned out bigger than expected. I tried to make it smaller but it wasn't enough. Will do some decorations to make it cooler.

I always do my hearths and chimneys in the middle of the house, through all the floors. I use the poles to make a frame. Frame it in with wood panels. I then extend above the main roof line, and add its own roof tiles to keep the rain out of it, and allow the smoke to escape.

Not to the hearth question, but a very neat house model. Post a snap when you are done as I would like to see how it came out.

Make a "hood" above the hearth to catch the smoke, and leave one corner of it unroofed for the smoke to escape. I think it also looks nice. The next setup I want to try is having the hearth almost totally enclosed with a "window" to reach cauldrons and cooking stations

To be honest just about any way you can conceive of you should be able to build as long as you have the materials for it.

This is the 2nd floor hearth in one of the bed rooms in my multiplayer save.

The roof caps for those look like this

On upper floors you can hide chimneys inside interior walls
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2923016073
and build decorative/functional rooms between those interior walls used to hide the chimneys
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2923016112
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2923016151
You could build your wooden add on to your stone tower similar to the way that I build my 2nd floor balcony

You can build just about anything you can conceive of. Just experiment around until you get something that looks good to you. I'm not even all that creative but I took a few ideas from homes and other places that I have been and just kind of hacked at it until I got something I was happy with.

Those chimneys aren't actually letting any smoke out in your screenies though. The roof piece over them is too low. I'd bet only a rare few smoke particles escape.

You don't have to let any smoke out. It will dissipate with enough space above the fire.

I really like this video:

I need to know how do add screen shots to comments? I seem to not have that option?

Actually they are. The chimneys that have fires in them currently are clearly venting smoke. The ovens, smelter, kiln, and blast furnace weren't in use at the time I took the screen shots so no smoke venting from those.

You could also do the middle of the building.. I've seen a few homesteads with the hearth or two in the middle and then they just have the chimney that goes all the way up through however many floors they have.

You can do it with various building pieces, wooden roofs probably being most ideal for the task, but I guess you are thinking of stone. Combining the stone arch parts in various angles should do the trick, but combining the utility of cooking facilities (there are quite a few of them now) with aesthetics is up to you.

I always like to make it go essentially sideways outside the first floor like a vent, kind of...that way I can build my bed right above or really close to the fires on the second floor, and I'm always close to the fire buff plus close to where I cook my food.
