Typing Ascii Symbols into signs
Hello, I tried Alt-typing using the Num Keypad and left Alt-key, but all I get are ? marks. I am sure I am doing this incorrectly. Any guidance would be great, thanks! I saw a video of someone doing this, but they were not a good teacher...they just assumed viewers already knew how. I couldn't tell how he did it, but he typed in a Pointy Finger Emoji going up. I would like to customize my signs a bit more, thanks!

OK, thanks! I did a test in an MS Word window, and typing Left-Alt(Hold) then typing Numpad-3, types a red heart on the Word doc. So It seems to work there. Assuming it is one of available characters, do I copy/paste that into my sign via the clipboard, or is the fact that it does not show mean it's not one of the available characters? I can't test it until after work today. Just curious if you all might know. Thanks again. PS-Is there a list of the available characters that will work in Valheim? Can't be too many, I would imagine?

Oh, I am new a this...literally first time trying to use Acsii characters. I thought the directions said to hold left-Alt while hitting the 3 key on the numpad to get a Heart. All I got was a ? question mark, lol.
Alt + 168 = ¿
So like I said, go look up some Ascii codes.

This is seemingly a very limited font. It is not designed to deliver the full ASCII font letters, just the basics. You would have to swap out the font to something else to be able to type characters outside the base character set.

It all depends on the font used, if it support the Unicode characters you are trying to display
