Wolf Hunt event triggering too often

So much so that other events don't happen because of it.
I am currently in the Plains but ever since first going to the Mountains, wolf hunts were the only event to happen to me. It happens even when I am in my base over any of the base attack events.
I got no troll event, no surtling event, no drake event and no fuling event.

One possibility that i can think of is that recently I have restored an older save and that might have messed up the event triggers....

Considering the only event that can happen outside of your base is the wolf one, this seems normal. You just happened to get the wolf event twice in base instead of other events.

That is assuming the wiki is correct:
"Events have a 20% chance of starting every 46 minutes if there is a player within 40 meters of at least 3 base structures (except for the "You are being hunted..." event which doesn't require player base). The event is randomly selected from available events. "

I'll say no to this. i don't play with mods or have ever restored an older save. Maybe having a main base in the Plains does prevent other events from triggering, leaving the "You are being hunted..." as your sole event since, as Ammikaameri pointed out ""You are being hunted..." event which doesn't require player base" .

wolf event is dumb you get swarmed by like 30 wolves, great for people in max gear (so much meat!) but dreadful for anyone in lower gear.

The thing is on another save (the one I had before H&H) I also had a Plains base and I had all the normal invasions on it.
I think both of the times I had the wolf hunts while in base I was upstairs, so i was right above most of my base buildings, which should count..... unless the calculation range only works horizontally and not vertically... but that would be stupid.

it's not that bad even in iron gear, just make sure to have Iron Sledge and Bonemass power.

Well yes, I believe it activates after Moder is killed. By then you should have the wolf armor and silver weapons (all upgraded). If you're careful, before killing Moder, stick your nose into the plains. You might be able to gather enough mats to build up the padded armor and/or the black metal weapons.

I did this my second go round and yeah, I got lucky.

That's weird, I got all the events except for the wolf. Skeleton, swamp, fueling, trolls, all twice, surtling thrice, but no wolf

Event triggers are truly rng as fudge in this game, get em Everytime I'm home in one map, get a good mix in another, barely get events in another. It would be nice to know if there are hidden triggers or if truly is just oh looks like you get lucky again for millionth time in a row or well looks like you get unlucky for the millionth time in a row.

Unless you base is in the plains or the mountains something is very wrong.
Unless they changed it.

And I don't think they should be replacing base raids. They should only happen away from base in plains or mountains.

Do you mod your game? Wonder if it is a mod issue?
They are RNG so not getting them vs getting them can be hard to judge but the base thing really has me wondering if something is wrong with the game.

Is your base in the Mountains biome proper? This DOES affect which kind of events you get. The wiki has a list of events and the things that trigger them. Biome matters. I specifically have a Mountains base after defeating Moder but defeating Yagluth because of that.

Maybe I am unlucky but the raids are starting to happen very frequently recently.
Were they changed as of recent?

Yeah, I've been hit with "You are being Hunted" 5-6 times now while exploring the plains. Heck, I got hit with it while sailing the ocean (didn't stick around, maybe I should have).

My main base in the meadows has been hit with all the other raids once. I do have small portal bases in the other biomes but I don't think that's the reason. Not complaining, but I wouldn't mind seeing the others pop up more often

I only have a performance mod and FarmGrid, neither should affect this.
I have verified the game files, there was no error.
