Well, as it turns out, they both kinda got stuck on each other when I went back to proc the fight again, and I was wearing a full set of troll leather armor so I think my ability to be Sneaky let me hide near a rock at the bottom of the hill and just launch fire arrows up at them. They were just staring at each other as they were burning, then when one fell, the other one simply stayed in place until he also fell over too.

Maybe if we fought the boss right, we could have gotten some excitement, but given the dangers of the double-summon the first time, I'm kinda glad it ended anticlimactically.

Moral of this story: ALWAYS make sure you and your friends know who's summoning the Forsaken Beast, and NEVER forget to fight dirty!

You can get a bunch more than two going if you want. Works for all the bosses, though moder and the eggs is a bit of a hassle.

One person could pull both away from the site, while the other digs a bunker under the summoning altar. The Elder will usually stand in a spot at the bunker entrance where he can be hit with arrows, but hi cannot hit you. Could be tough, though. Good luck. I'd probably take Shadow's advice and find an alternate spot to summon just one. Come back in iron or wolf armor later and teach the bastids a lesson.

Use the pillars to block the projectile attack from the boss, relocate when it summons the vines.

You and your friend may have to try and focus your own Elder at the same time so that they don't switch aggro (hopefully) and be sure to fight during the day / clear ambient enemies like Trolls that may be lurking nearby.

100+ fire arrows for each person should do the trick depending on how good your bows are.

could just find another summoning spot and resummon the 1.

Could each try pulling one in opposite directions til they are far enough away that you can regroup and kill them one at a time. Might be tough
