thanks, yeah I'll wait a bit, I feel as though I've farmed bronze for several hours, will try to push on to the next area once my weapons and tools are back to par.

you and i have had very similar experiences. also like you, I took it on the chin and carried on. experience is your number 1 resource in Valheim

I definitely feel your pain, as do many of us it seems lol. Hit me up if you need help recovering your gear!

Funny, the 'monster' I fear the most (so far) is that bug. Easy to handle when you are aware, but one 'space' moment and @BoOm*! you gotta a stinger where the sun don't shine!

or people not using a guide I suppose. This area was the next one down the shore from where I had to sail to kill the elder, not too far at all. Going to look for another type of area when I finish regearing.

Its like the swamp as in go slow and creep around alot :D

normally I'd look this stuff up but my friend said I should do a blind play-through if I wanted a good experience, but I will ask questions if I get stuck for more than a few hours (like when I couldn't figure out how to upgrade my workbench to level 4.

I was such an idiot once, forgot to eat up after a boat ride upon reaching some swamp, got swarmed and killed. Rushed a return pretty much the same way, minimal gear, enough to build a portal, and managed to get myself killed again. That was an adventure to recover from...

But, recover I did, and I deserved both deaths, for being careless and impatient. Definitely more cautious and attentive these days. I like this aspect of the game. It manages to punish overconfidence and impatience without being inaccessible to those who are maybe not the most skilled, but who are smart and cautious and diligent. That combination of conditions really makes it feel rewarding.

That is because this game is not very well designed for someone to have happy. This game is meant for people who have groups or like to farm farm farm farm farm farm farm farm farm

Took me 7 days and at least 14 deaths to recover my iron armor the first time I got tapped by a deathsquito. I even build a provisionary shack just out of range so I could respawn a short distance away when I inevitably died.

In the end I managed by sneaking, quick clicking and running like there was no tomorrow.

But I'm definitely getting back there one day to have my revenge.

these are exactly my thoughts!

not even sure how I can recover my boats either... maybe build a workbench near the shore after I clear it and then dismantle them...

well im back to farming bronze and tin at this time, nabbed a few trolls since the big loss so my armor is getting better.

bronze armor has given me pause.. not sure if I should farm a proper bronze set or just use my troll set that i've re-upgraded to 3 (tier 4 workbench)

I feel as if I own this area I am in (blackforest), I can take on the hordes they randomly send at me but that wipe.... not fun!

Hahaha we have all done it, those mozzies are a challenge thats for sure :D
