GPU Overheating after recent Patch (84°C+) (Did not have this problem before)

I have played Valheim since its release in February 02, 2021 and have never encountered any issues regarding my GPU Overheating, however, since the latest patch the game has become unplayable for me; GPU overheats past 84°C as soon as I start the game during the menu screen.

I thought it could be my drivers or dust in my rig, but i just spent the whole day disarming, cleaning every single component and putting back my PC together (even reapplying thermal paste) and the issue has not being resolved.

Edit: To confirm, all my drivers are also up to date.
Edit: I have never used mods, I am playing the vanilla version.

After researching more about this issue I am convinced that the problem is not with my set up but on the developers end.

Has the problem being at least acknowledged by the Devs? Any Hot fix on the way?

***I am very concerned since I am paying for a server to be able to play with my friends and because of this issue I am not able to play.***

Here are my PC Specs:

• CPU - AMD RYZEN 9 3950X
• CPU Cooler - NZXT KRAKEN Z63
• GPU - ASUS ROG STRIX RTX 2080 TI
• RAM - x4 G.SKILL TRIDENT Z NEO DDR4 (64GB Total)
• SSD - SABRENT 2TB ROCKET NVME
• PSU - CORSAIR AX SERIES AX850

This sounds like an issue with your cooling system not the game. Highly suggest getting a can of air or a small vacuum/blower and clean out the dirt and dust. Check various other things too. Google will help with that. It is highly unlikely a game overheats a PC unless you are overclocking something, which I presume you are not doing.
Do not get me wrong go ahead and blame the game or the update which was forever ago. Keep in mind though if this game was causing such an issue the forum would be flooded with the same topic. I do really help the info helps as I have burned up my share of hardware.

Enable VSync, see if that helps; it'll cap your FPS to whatever your monitor can support, instead of allowing it to push "as many as it can", which can have a dramatic impact.

Recheck (and/or reinstall) your BIOS, I've had them throw false temperature warnings when they get out of date. Might be time for new fans. Do you have an ap that shows their rpms at least?

Oh, and if your temps are getting that high, your fans should be making your case sound like a jet engine. If that's not the case, check your fan control software; it could be that it is somehow stuck on "quiet mode", so isn't ramping up to handle the generated heat.

this from a few years ago might be worth checking out.. ssd heat sink..
from TOM
"Without a heat sink and with the original cover in place, the controller of the Rocket Plus reaches 96 Celsius, where it starts to throttle (i.e., it drops its speed) to prevent overheating." end quote
not sure ..but worth a investigate
