Mistland is amazing

Love new content, and my new neighbours. Mists giving that extra challenge but after a while orientation and fight in them is fun and easy. Finished all new content a+. Like it. Seidr shaman is amazing.

Maybe the black forge looks like it belongs on the Evil Enterprise, or the news set for the Goth News Channel, but you can make a home for it. Just redesign everything around it and it'll fit right in. ;)

At this point, that's my big gripe. They shouldn't take time to fix it, though. (Unless they really like me.) What true Viking fears a decorating challenge?

An option to use materials from each biome to upgrade/change the look of your crafting stations or buildings would be immense.

I would love to spend some black marble and black cores, copper etc to update my crafting station and forges etc to dvergr designs.

Would also give us reason to keep visiting previous biomes to collect the materials we want for aesthetics etc.

Might make that my suggestion.

In my honest opinion Mistlands is compared to the other biomes pain and plain boring.
Just the fact they removed the original spider concept just because of very few players having troubles with arachnophobia makes me worry about the other biomes ahead of us.
Will we get a giant kraken which will try to break your ships in two or sweet little squids behaving like piranhas?
Will we get a giant snake or will people with ophidiophobia prevent this from happening?
What about Deep North and cryophobia?

Valheim is a great game, i just hope that the next biomes will be more like the others, without any restrictions and more interesting gameplay!

Sounds like somebody doesn't like it that other people were accommodated. Wants their bigotry to be accommodated instead.

Rough at first, but it's growing on me...more than that, it's a worthy challenge. This is mine and my friend's 2nd playthrough of Valheim, and of course the other biomes are going to be much easier, because we've done them before. I give the devs a LOT of credit with the new one, it's new, different and imaginative.

Im not a big fun of mist and magic, but i love jumping challenge aspect of the mistlands. Also new marble build pieces add a lot to the building aspect of the game.
And looks of mistlands cliffs while sailing next to it is just breathtaking.

The mist makes it unplayable and the new black marble pieces don't build well.

At each age in the progression the level 1 armor is equal to the level 4 of the previous age. Not until level 2 or 3 does the new set begin to show value. But neither the carapace set nor the padded set are best for navigating the terrain of Mistlands. I use the Fenrir set with the feather cape to scout a new area and carry level 2 carapace when I find something to melee or mine. Many find that level 2 carapace is not worth it and I tend to agree. In previous ages I would usually wait until level 3 before switching unless the new set had some distinct advantage such as the cold protection in the wolf set or the poison/pierce protection of the root set. But the nutrition changes with the new cauldron are complete and the health and stamina boosts from the new foods are amazing. I'm not sure about fishing since the stamina advantage of fish-and-bread over salad is not much and the ingredients for salad are much easier to come by. As for the magic set, I only just got the level 2 eitr set with the staffs and returned to earlier (and easier) biomes to learn the new blood and elemental skills. The dead-raiser is interesting and parking by a greydwarf spawner and letting my minions fight brutes just keeps ticking the blood skill level at a hefty rate. As @Luminous Dark has mentioned the player reviews are still mixed (as the developers predicted) and I'll confess that my first exposure to Mistlands was when the seeker event destroyed my nice meadows base so I was not a fan. It is still not my favorite biome (Mountains and Plains) but I'm only just getting comfortable with the new demands of Mistlands and when the level 3 and 4 crafting updates come out it will likely get much much better.

How come? In my experience they actually blend better since they have smoother surface. No more rocks clipping through fences, less "z-fighting" and that sort of thing.

In overall Mistlands are fun, especially the infested mines, but the fog is to thicc sometimes hidding all the pretty spots the biome has. :P

I just find it an odd and somewhat unhelpful mix of pieces. They're also not much more stable than stone, and they don't gain support well from iron. The 2x2x2 blocks should be able to encase iron and benefit from the reinforcement however they must sit on top of iron, which means the underside of whatever (e.g. a ceiling) is ugly as - negating the usefulness of less ugly stone.

I just saw three other threads saying the mistlands were terrible. I agree with you however.

The terrain is unique, fun, and beautiful. It's challenging enough for an experienced player to die a few times, you CAN teleport the new minable resources so you don't have to build a brand new base in the biome. The Gjalls, seekers, and ticks are all pretty scary and interesting to fight (I don't much like the seeker soldiers though, just because of how much health and damage resistance they have - it might be more fun if their weak points could be hit more reliably for a lot of extra damage, like the Hunters from Halo 1).

I'm not a huge fan of anything you can craft at the black forge, since the armor is only negligibly better than padded, and I can't really tell if the weapons are better or worse than the black metal ones. If the basic damage were at least on par with black metal and they had some magic also, or if they had two types of magic damage each, or a lot of magic damage, or if they required less stamina, they might be worth it. Everything from the Galdr table is fun though.

It's also cool that there are some friendly people in the world who will sometimes save you from the dangers of the mists.

I don't know what a Seidr shaman is.
