The only time I need a mouse or KB with my Xbox controller, is when I place a marker on the Map and need to fill in TEXT entry fields on the map or on a sign[furniture]. Controller works great for this old tyme gamer, very well.

That's what I also want to know... Don't wanna bend over to the side to grab the mouse mid-game to point at things while I'm getting attacked. :(

just ds4, idk if it had a preset config or not I haven't played the game in like 14 years (think it just uses default controller buttons tho), but you shouldn't need the kb&m for anything except typing or marking stuff on the map

I've no idea. I've been waiting for a comfortable support for controller as well. And hopefully an option to adjust the camera position too, before I delve into Valheim. I hope we can get some good support for both lol.

↑ Agreed, and steam's BPM can only do so much as well. My hands are wrists have seen better days. It'd be nice to see this game get a full controller support. Without emulating mouse movements like games seem to do these days. (No Man's Sky does this mouse emulating thing I'm referring to.)

+1 for controller support.

seeing as the pinned solution for the 'spinning camera glitch' is literally just 'disable your controller' i have to assume that the answer is no, not any time soon.
the only things that don't work with the controller though is dropping items out of your inventory (need to drag&drop outside inventory with mouse), typing on signs, and some menu issues with making new characters (and also changing sound options but that could just be me)

You can drop items with a controller. I have an xbox contoller and it rt and A to drop the selected item. LT splits a stack.

I need to experiment more i guess

I read that on a different thread a few days ago and it worked. you can also ping the map with X but i dont think you can mark locations.
