Less than a newbie question

As I have not yet downloaded the game after buying it I don't even qualify as a newbie ;-)

My question is what players consider the best sources of low spoiler help with the bugs/glitches/strange game logic that inevitably happens in video games?

Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback but let me clarify my question - I don't want spoilers or even regular gameplay tips just directions to reliable info sources that can help a player get around the things that are not yet working as the devs intended. Like all games, Valheim has not-yet-fixed bugs. Avoiding spoilers, like I do, has the downside of not watching some youtuber or twitch streamer bump into these bugs and be forewarned how to manage them. The upside to no spoilers, of course, is the whole game is mostly unknown territory filled with the unexpected. I just want to avoid as much of the 'unintended' as I reasonably can.

i think you'll find there are very few actual bugs. i'm +500 hrs and have only seen at most 5, and even those were not game breaking.

Yes, I agree with the previous poster - the game is in a great condition for EA.

Just start playing, you will be fine. There are no game-breaking bugs, I would say.

Also, good thinking about avoiding the spoilers. The game was simply magic for me when I started playing it without looking into the forum, reddit, etc. Looking into any online sources takes some of that magic away. The devs did a great job setting things up for gradual exploration and discovery on your own. Good luck!

You don't need spoilers or tips or help etc. Just hit it and see what happens. The only non-spoiler tip is for Bonemass (the 3rd boss) which is weaker to blunt force trauma than lacerations..

The only answer you need.

When you hit things, the color of inflicted damage numbers indicates if the target has a weakness or a resistance to your attack type, or neither of them. But I guess that this is not easy to think about when fighting a boss, or even a first-time mob.

Like in any other game, there is a needed time to get familiar with the various interfaces (inventory management, crafting, building), but it's nothing special.

I'd advise to note on a paper the keybindings, especially how to run fast (I played more than a hundred in-game days before I read about it). It's a life-insurance.
Try to use the stealth mode most of the time, even if it slows you down, because it will train passively, and it's not that evident that it should be.

At first, note down on the map every single resource node, and where you saw mobs (either game or hostiles). But frankly, when you get experienced and equipped, you'll just collect things as you stumble on them.

Have a thrilling exloration!
