will check back in a year or two...
Hearth & Home... September 16th 2021. Currently July 31st 2022. It has been really close to a full year now. I have all but given up on checking in. Are you still hopeful?

I honestly dont mind lack of updates per say, ist mostly the lack of transparency and communication with the devs. I dont think its that hard to make a post once a week or every two with a short summary of progress, problems and etc. That alone would go a long way with the community imoAlmost a year without updates would be concerning, but that's not the case with Valheim, is it? Yeah he mentioned that in his post. Was like half the post.
Obviously his problem is that he thinks going almost a year without updates to an early release game is a bad sign.

Would like to see some more critters roaming the first three biomes.
I just hang out and build roads and forts. Will go into the mountains someday.

It's valid criticism. Communication could be improved, agreed.I honestly dont mind lack of updates per say, ist mostly the lack of transparency and communication with the devs. I dont think its that hard to make a post once a week or every two with a short summary of progress, problems and etc. That alone would go a long way with the community imo Almost a year without updates would be concerning, but that's not the case with Valheim, is it?
What I'm arguing against here is merely the 'Almost a year without updates'. Not very truthful, honest, or valid criticism. Why just not say 'the development of this game is too slow and the communication is lacking'? People can disagree about things, but I'd say that this latter statement is a valid opinion that also holds some truth, depending on your perspective. The reasons for these perceived issues may be good, so I'm not complaining too much, but seeing some updates - informational or to the game - would ofc be nice.

I'm confident that H&H will release, possibly this year. Could it be the last update...maybe?
But, the upside of this is: mods are stable for longer. The modding community is very active and will always offer dozens of hours of extra gameplay. Some have already tried to finish off the other biomes- it's pretty shoddy work but it's to be expected from free mods. But it'll only get better with time.
