go to google and look up "valheim server" there are tons of providers

As for transfering. You go to

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\LocalLow\IronGate\Valheim\worlds_local

and there is a file with your world name .db and .fwl. You give those to your friend and they can start it.

Though you would have to do this each time you guys want to start it.

Or you can just do a 3rd option. and make your own dedicated server and just have it running, and either of you can connect to it at anytime instead of waiting for the other person to make it.

There are plenty of guides to starting a dedicated server. go search them up

If you have a Linux computer (or windows) that does not turn off and a white ip address (or a program to redirect traffic), you can create a server yourself.
