Serious FPS drops
Heya, I'm having a pretty extreme issue with FPS drops. It appears to be a VRam issue, as nothing else can really explain it.
Every 2-4 minutes, my frames drop to around 3/second for around 5 seconds. At first I thought it was heating, but I checked my temps and they were fine - my fan wasn't even running high. Additionally, I noticed that during a heat spike (I had on my old laptop) and frames dropped, it would cause the CPU/GPU to max out. In this, it's the opposite; my CPU/GPU usage drops to around 15% for the duration, before returning to around 40%-60%.
I feel like this is a memory leak, and the game is taking care of it by dumping the memory (a lot of things vanish/reappear when this happens) and reloading. Any suggestions on how to fix this, or what may be the true cause?
I'm on an RTX 2060 with 6 gigs free VRAM (not great, but it's what I got), 8 gigs RAM, on a SSD and a decent enough CPU (can't remember off the top of my head).
To compare, I can run a game like Monster Hunter World at max settings at a stable 60 fps. Same thing with Dark Souls 3.

Did you try enabling Vulkan? Type -force-vulkan as a launch option. Fixed minor issues for me, might be a good start to try that. Beyond that I'm bot knowledgeable enough lol

Google valheim performance improvements, there's a few things you can try. One involves modifying the boot config, one is running the game in full screen as opposed to borderless window and the last is when you launch the game you should prioritise the executable in the task manager. If they don't work, try reducing your draw distance in the in game settings to see if it's a buffer issue.

Oh and probably goes without saying but check your graphics card drivers.

it's probably because you have an integrated graphics card, and that causes some issues, in order to launch with with vulkan(vulkan is the problem, not your integrated gc), disable the integrated one in device manager and enable it again(you have to do it everytime you restart).I just tried that. Hi!
I have add the same problem! Reading and trying ereything whithout success...
Until I started to incriminate my computer instead of the game.
For me it came from my power settings, I have an ASUS TUF GAMING and first things I did was to set up the max power of the processor at 100% in the power settings... mistake.
I cam back to 95% max and now, not a single stutter! Try out and tell us if it solved your problem too.
