any mods which can make this game fun and playable after +100h?

i mean get totally rid of all this annoying stuff like, stamina, skill drain, absurdly high fall dmg, trolls raids, ban for teleporting ores, etc.

All these are understandable and respectable but only for first 10-30h...

I'm playing it with my gf and after +100h we are getting annoyed 90% of the time now. Core of the game is amazing, but devs seems to want to make this game most annyoing and not fun experience ever. :yawning_creep:

If an open wold survival game is too "grindy" then this might not be the genre of game you are looking for.

I just think that there is a vision which the devs had when they created the game (and, yes, they probably don't even agree all on some of those decisions). And I just like to play the game the way the devs intended it (mostly) to be played.

Taking away some of the challenges and annoyances is taking away some of the spirit of the game.

But, as I've said, to each their own. Thankfully, we now live in a time when users can mod a game to their hearts content and experience it the way they like it.

Doesn't mean I have to do it or that I have to subscribe to it. ;)

PS: If you think this game is too grindy, I present you this: World of WarCraft - Burning Crusade.

If you have ever played that game when it originally came out (ca. 2007), and somewhat got serious with it, you have experienced grind that puts a hundred Valheims to shame.

This was the most grindy game I've ever played. And no modding. Thankfully, we don't have to go through THAT anymore.

During BC, my lock was a max'd JC and 2nd most AH competitive JC with a guy that was going through med school on my server (horde side) to boot.

I'm quite familiar with grind. But its not always grind that causes some aspects of desired changes mind you.

Youtuber Jiroc has multiple servers he and his community have one of them as a "resource" server they refresh every so often because with a large server pop(relatively speaking for valheim mind you) ecocide is an issue. They have to have a secondary server for resource gathering to accommodate their player base's interests with building and additions to the server as they come.

Personally I've yet to partake of mods but that is primarily because I'm still fine and enjoying nuances of play still and I like trying new map seed variations. But having played over 6000 hours of ark and most of it being modded content servers and through scores of said servers over 6+ years and seeing devs take on mods there(and here too mind you), I have come to see how flexibility in thinking has given more long term sustainability for their games respectively.

Again, I don't mind mods. I mind players that think it's IronGate's fault for not fixing their broken mods.

I have recommended ThunderStore many times on these forums. I still recommend it. And I certainly don't mind "world hopping". Why would I? If done something like this, when I started the same seed over when the Frost Caves released. I took most of my ore and metal over to the new seed. Why wouldn't I? I farmed it myself.

So, I see no point in arguing. I'm not against you or anybody that wants to mod. I'm just warning people that modding is done at their own risk, because it is not yet officialy supported and it can - and will - break their game.

Especially if you use mods that add things to the game that the vanilla game cannot process and will crash due to an out-of-date mod. These are things that people that mod should keep in mind.

Please be aware that what you perceive as annoying and "not fun", is specifically by design and to make the game challenging. By removing these "annoyances", you basically kill the game and all the challenges it throws at you.

That said, I can fully recommend ThunderStore mod manager, as it not only allows you to search for mods and then download them, but can notify you of updates and individually install, uninstall and disable them.

It is very good, and you don't need to register for it (unlike Nexus).

You can even start the game completely vanilla from ThunderStore, something you probably will need if the game gets an update and some of the mods break. And some mods WILL break!

Please be aware of that and don't write yet another post on the forum how the "devs need to fix their f****** game!" when it is in reality a problem with a mod.

Just fair warning. Have fun! :)

Edit: I've been playing for 600+ hours, I'm currently in the plains, and I find none of the requirements to be "annoying".

1. Stam skill drain fall damage are all able to be circumvented with admin commands to essentially ghost/god you.

2. Raid events can be circumvented by simply having a map seed(can even be the same one repeated with different names) for each boss fight and a main seed for your main base. This would mean that you always only have to deal with the necks n boars raid which is just free food.

3. Per point 2, this also allows you to gather ores on other seeds and simply switch to another map to instantly put it in your main base on your main seed.

A lot of people, even some well known to the devs, youtubers use the multi map/seed system in various degrees like this.

Thus all in all you don't need mods to circumvent those things.

Even devs acknowledge that players wish to play the game in different way and was recently discussed in various ways on a few of the recent dev interview vids that Jiroc has done on his youtube channel. Saying it "kills" the game is of course your take on it but not every one feels so. Conversely there are some server owners who make even more challenging ways to play too, to which then the converse could be claimed and considered still a "game killer" whilst those players who play on those consider it to be exactly what they wanted.

That's part of the beauty of this game and others like it that allow customization, mod use or what have you. Valheim's devs I'm pretty sure do not subscribe to the belief that its their way only as being valid or legitimate or pedestal'd. Else they'd not have so many features and ways for players to enjoy the game differently.

I would recommend Valheim Plus and Epic Loots. I do hope in the final game they continue to allow mods.

There are tons of mods on nexus and thunderstore to change just about anything you could think of as well as things you probably didn't. Just make sure to read through the support posts though, mods break after every major update and some haven't been updated. I'm currently using a modpack called EpicValheim that has been incredibly fun.
