How's the terraforming story plays out now?

I wasn't playing the game lately, PZ took me over again. Which is good.

Is terrain manipulation bad now or it's just a rumour? I heard about the change and it wasn't pleasant news. That's why I'm asking. I plan to star playing again around Christmas so I thought I ask here in the meantime.

I dont think the terraforming will ever be 'good' in Valheim. There is no facility to even make a tunnel or cellar. The way its implemented would need a fairly huge overhaul to include such basic things apparently.. And seeing as these devs take a year to add some spice racks and a pumpkin we all know the likelyhood of them doing any real work ...

no its great now. If you have an old world you need to fix it though (opterrain command). All new worlds ( May+)are fine.

I assume OP is talking about the inability to use the instant-raise trick. Yeah, it's more costly to do terraforming now, and the instance optimization has improved somewhat. It's unlikely they're going to turn any of that around. Maybe there will be some kind of item or ability in the distant future that will make terraforming easier again, but doubtful, given the way dvoid talks.
