well found my solution i set my max fps to 40 which is super fine for me since i dont need 120+fps XD and the temps are bellow 70-65 about 48 being the minimum just set all settings to lowest besides render distance being maxed so i can actually see stuff and resolution lowest but the game still covers the whole screen which is great yeah the game might have some more pixels but hey its not like its already a pixel game as it is :D

Sounds backwards to me.

For me, setting shadows to low, SSAO off, Bloom off, and most of my other settings to Medium, made my GPU temp go from an average of 78-82c to about 62-72c.

Oh no! :crying_yeti:

Too bad GPU prices these days aren't that great. Hopefully with the Cryptocurrency crash, GPU prices can lower down again.

[sigh]

Alas, it seems the light humour has escaped you.

So to take it back to being serious, I figured since your original post was about GPU temperatures skyrocketing with your GTX 960 GPU, then perhaps either the settings need to be completely lowered, and/or you need more and better cooling for your system. Since perhaps your older GPU might have issues with cooling, then I indirectly suggested that perhaps a newer GPU would be in order, but "too bad GPU prices are so high right now".

I will now politely escape from this thread. ;)

well its not the gpu being too bad or anything since the game only uses 50-60% of my gpu and some other games use up to 80-90% and dont even nearly reach the 70s :D
